, ,,..-..-.nag VETER t LANCERS R GO FOR , TITLE This years, 198lr82, Lancer baseball team dominated most of its opponents that they played. This was the best team that this school has ever had, commented Coach Willie Valech. Our'team had the best talent that I've seen in years, said senior catcher Jack Toland. The Lancer squad was a veteran club and one of the top teams in the Bay Area. Ever since coach Valech has taken over we have become a winner. We have made it to the playoffs three years in a row, replied senior Mike King. Perhaps the biggest reason for the Lancers success was the pitching of three time All- HAAL pick Doug Henry, Also helping the Lancer cause was Junior Charles Bonney who was consistent both at the plate and in the field.
