Us C RING AT TENNYS Tennyson's bands stepped off to a great start this year with the addition of the Orchestra. The class, held during third period, was started by Mr. Gallardo. This is the first time in years that we have had an orchestra, and the students are doing a terifficjobf' he comment- ed on their success. Also hitting the scales were the Concert, Symphonic, and Jazz bands. The Concert band is the talent-filled stepping stone to the Symphonic and hopefully, the Jazz band, whose members are some of the best musi- cians at school. Assisting Mr. Gallardo in the success of the bands was student-teacher, Tom Jones. Mr. Jones finds working here at Tennyson with a great band very exciting and helpful, as he hopes to someday be a teacher in the music field. Mr. Gallardo also taught a guitar class in addition to the bands, and they all worked very hard to bring music to Tennyson. 9 Ei '.,,, Y'5 , Mp .
