6'LET'S GET PHY I- CAD' was the name of the game in Physical Education classes here at Tennyson where both boys and girls participat- ed in various exercises such as jumping jacks, sit-ups, push ups, and other various exercise, But P.E. wasn't just exercises, students participated in various sports also, such as Softball, football, soccer, weight training, volleyball, trampolining, basketball, swimming, golf, badminton, tennis, racquetball and square dancing and still more! I look forward to P.E. because it is the time when you can get out and have fun! said junior Mike Colon. This year they have started a new policy, it states that if you do not dress for P.E. and are not excused you had to come to detention at 7:40 a.m. the next morning. Ac- cording to Mr. R. Stark, he thought that this was one of the reasons that there was a larger participation in P.E. this year. INDUSTRIAL ARTS The Industrial Art classes were very important classes here at Tennyson High. These classes which include woodwork, auto mechanics, metal, mechanical draw- ing and electricity help teach students how to work with tools and their hands safely and accurately. These classes help students develope skills that may help them in the future. One of the most talented students is Randy Coursey. He has advanced woodshop. Bill Well's said, Randy brings furniture out of woodshop like it was a furniture factory. Some of Don Edwards, Dion Washington, and Mike Reviera projects were jewelery boxes, waterskis, cabinets and even a grandfa- ther clock. In auto shop students work long and hard before they can even touch a car. Yes, there was alot of bookwork to do before they can get to work. This class was very ,. .K f 3 ,, 4. . ,I . 1 4 fox worthwhile, it could save students a great deal of time and money, because they know how to take care of their cars. Some excellent students in this class were John Vilche, Tim Cunninghan and Anthony Uchytil, Neil McClusky and David Benavidez.
