Core is a program that teaches students basic skills in math, Eng- lish and social studies. These classes were developed for students who are two or more years below reading grade level. Visu- al aid projectors, language masters, cassette recorders and games for perception were all steps to bettering their education. Vocational Skills were a very high objective for the Special Education Department. Ms. Criscione worked with each student and tried to give the students the tools to be productive people in society.
