Homemaking l and ll are required of all high school girls except those who are college preparatory or two- year shorthand students. Homemaking teaches not only the basic skills in the art of becoming a good homemaker, but it also builds a greater knowledge and understanding of the duties of a modern-day homemaker. They become better prepared for the future when they will build thei own homes and raise their own families. Opportunities are provided for them to learn the value and need of good human relationships. The Tennyson program consists of a closely asso- ciated plan of instruction for the care and enrichment of home and family.
