JAMES L. ROBB A. B., A. M., LLD. President PAUL REVIERE B. A., M. A. Dean of College GEORGE E. NAFF B. A., B. D. Chaplain C. O. DOUGLAS A. B., A. M. Registrar JESS F. BENTON B. S. Business Manager J. VAN. B. COE A. B., M. A. Dean of Students D James L. Robb To the Members of the Class of 1950 Greetings; From a number of standpoints this is no ordinary year and the class of which you are a member is no ordinary class. It is not the largest class to graduate from Tennessee Wesleyan, but my impression is that it is one of the best. As I have observed from my ivory tower the comings and goings of the members of the class I have come to admire each of you and to believe that each has a real contribution to make to the life of the nation. May I suggest here what I have proposed to a number of you in person, that in order to achieve your goals you may need to assume a hard boiled attitude toward yourself at times. Most of us are apt to be too easy with ourselves. It is all right to be easy on others but not on ourselves. My prayer is that God ' s blessing may be upon each of you and that with his aid you will achieve the full measure of your strength. May your life be rich in service to God and to your fellow man. James L. Robb Sincerely,
