We did not realize what a storehouse of full, happy experiences was awaiting us. It seems that we had hardly adjusted ourselves to college life before the year ended. Many of our friends left, but new students soon filled the empty spaces. Our class is unique because of its large number. Never before has such o large class been graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan. We are fortunate in having over half of our number made up of those grand G. I. Joes. It has been wonder ful: those spine-tingling football games; breathtaking basketball contests; rapid ping-pong battles at our new recreation hall; the nights at the library cramming for final examinations; the delightful strolls along our campus walks; the un- forgetable parties in the gymnasium. Yes, these, along with countless others, are the memories we can never forget. Tennessee Wesleyan has given us more than just pleasant memories. She has given us a heritage which mere words cannot express. But maybe we shall be able to enrich the lives of others because of what Wesleyan has meant to us. We hope that we have not only received from Wesleyan, but that we have left our school with something more than scarred desks, professors tired from our ever-present pranks, memories of students never on time for classes, and water-spattered books lying forlornly under the restful shade trees. We hope that we have added to her stately dignity, her abiding friendliness, and her constant effort to strive for the best for Wesleyan.  And so, the class of ' 48 moves on to make a place for others! The Bulldogs mode history on the gridiron. They engaged five senior colleges and five junior colleges, de- feating one and tying one of the former and defeating all of the latter. Coach Rankin Hudson, new coach for this year, did a marvelous job in installing a new system and coaching the Bulldogs to a season not to be forgotten for a long time. Coach Rankin Hudson is also an alumnus of Tennessee Wes- leyan. Assisting Coach Hudson was Coach Jim Brooks, line coach, who did a fine job in taking care of the forward wall. Coach Brooks is an alumnus of Middle Tennessee State. The Bulldogs ' Basketball team continued the year of athletics with a fne record, playing some of the roughest teams in this section of the country.
