During the Civil War, Chattanooga and the surrounding areas were very strategic battlegrounds. When Chattanooga fell, the barrier to the South was overrun, bringing the beginning of the end to the War Between the States. Today Chattanooga is still a strategic location, because here in the midst of historic landmarks, battlefields, and monuments is located Tennessee Temple Schools—a training camp for Christian soldiers. Victory demands preparedness. Just as in war, a soldier that is unprepared is susceptible to defeat, we as Christians may fall as casualties unless we are fully equipped to meet the battles of our lives.

”

The Word of God is the road map for our daily walk. Jesus being our example, we are to pattern our lives after Him and . . . follow in his steps.’ And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. (Luke 2:52) This verse presents the four aspects of the human life . . . intellectual .. . physical . . . spiritual . . . social. These four aspects, when added to the scales of our lives in the cor- rect proportion, result in a balanced life. Students of Temple are trained to be well-rounded individuals, and a balance to life is maintained through education in four di- mensions .. . intellectual . . . social .. . physical .. . spiritual.

”
