Dr. Walter Hughes, our principal speaker, warned against trying to meet the spiritual wartime crisis with peacetime methods. Mel Johnson's solos and choir work added a musical missionary note. ai. — DR. HYMAN APPLEMAN Mid-Winter Revival Second semester opened with the Mid-Winter Revival, giving students an opportunity to be renewed in the Lord. Jimmie Johnson's messages and Stratton Shufelt's songs awakened a new love for the Lord and a desire to serve Him. Two student-conducted pre-revival meetings were held dur- ing which students were shown that genuine revival comes only from the hearts of individuals. STRATTON SHUFELT Fall Revival Dr. Hyman Appleman, speaker for the Fall Revival, de- livered many forceful and dynamic sermons. Our spirits were strengthened, our faith uplifted, and our outlook broadened as we were privileged to hear this man of God. His messages, together with Ellis Zher's ministry in songs, were instrumental in making the Fall Revival a time of spiritual awakening. - ELLIS ZHER JIMMIE JOHNSON

—— DR. HERSCHEL FORD WARREN WIERSBE Bible Conference The annual Bible Conference held in the spring was a real blessing to all who attended. The Bible teaching of Dr. Herschel Ford, Rev. Warren Wiersbe, and Dr. Herbert Pugmire revealed to us many truths from the Word of God. To highlight the conference, some ten graduates of Ten- nessee Temple Schools directed the music, taught classes in the afternoons, and sang special numbers during the serv- ices. DR. H, J.
