Dr. Weigle celebrates his 92nd Birthday SWEETHEART BANQUET One of the big social highlights of the past school year was the Sweetheart Banquet of February |4. Beautiful decora- tions set to the theme of Deep Purple’ accented the oc- casion. The delicious meal, the girls wearing their lovely : corsages, and a program of appropriate music made this banquet one we will long remember. The thrilling moment of the night came when Miss Joy Pummell received her bouquet of roses and was crowned Temple's Sweetheart of 1964. Sophomore Play—ARSENIC AND OLD LACE a Freedom Shrine Award presented to Tennessee Temple Schools FREEDOM SHRINE AWARD The Freedom Shrine, a permanent exhibit of twenty-eight authentic reproductions of historically famous American documents ranging from Jefferson's “rough draft'' of the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE to the official United States copy of the United Nations Charter, was presented to Tennessee Temple Schools by the Exchange Club of Chat- tanooga, Tennessee. The Freedom Shrine is exclusively an Exchange Club project and an important part of the American Citizenship Program of The National Exchange Club. The ideals and precepts set forth in its documents, constitute a precious heritage, not only for Americans but for freedom loving people everywhere.
