WMM Page 28 SUMMER QUEEN, Linda Harris Sunshine Brightens The Tech Campus Ole Mr. Sunshine was back on Teelfs campus for the 1960 summer session. His main objective was to greet those energetic students whose hard- est task was to get up for their 7:30 classes. The female scholars also likecl the iclea of his being around to tan them while sun bathing or sun baking-whichever the ease may have been. The men of the campus eagerly clonnecl their bermucla shorts and dirty sneakers. Thus, com- fortably attirecl. they were reacly to shift their bull sessions from the Union to the niiclclle of the quail. Actually, there were few changes last summer. Public Programs continued to be the number one clreacleml evilg the union remainerl the favorite place of habitation during those free hours. Sum- mer sehoolers clid witness one major change and that was the flight of the Golden Eagle from its nest atop the library tower to the aclniinistra- tion builcling.
