ZII1 Hllrmnriam Once there was a sincere, unpretentious n1an who per! lormed his daily tasks quietly and ellieiently. Then one day his smiling face was gone lrom the campus, yet one re- members many things about l1in1. Perhaps he is remem- bered as a lriend, or as a man who placed his duties to otl1ers beliore his personal duties. He was a friend to doctors, deans, business and civic leaders, professors, his fellow workers and to the students. He is remembered as a man who did that which was neces- sary to the best ol l1is ability. A dependable man, he was always willing to tackle any task which confronted him. His greatest reward was the personal satislaction he found in doing his work well. He loved 'lennessee Tech and he gave her Countless hours and minutes of his days. It is said there is not a single building on the campus which does not bear the touch ol' l1is hand, for l1e personally saw to it that the b11ildi11gs and the grounds were properly maintained. A 111an who loved God, l1e lound the duty which was nearest to him. This duty he did conscientiously epitomiz- ing the l'aithl'ul, diligent adniinistrative worker. This was Otis Carroll.
