Ferguson has been very popular with the students because of his kindness and understanding. anagef of pfafenleflt Mr. Leonard Crawford has held the important position of Director ol' Placement since lflflli. During this period he has aided niany graduates in linding positions. In H749-50 he was niade Secretary of the Tech Alunini Association. A graduate of 'llennessee Tech in 1929, with a 15.8. degree, Mr. Crawford was proniinent on the canipus during his college years, being class presi- dent, president ol' the A. S. B., and Bachelor of Ugliness, in l928: Editor of the EAGLE. l929, and at one tinie, President oli the Aluinni Association. In I938, Mr. Crawford received his M.A. degree lroni George Peabody College. GORDON PENNEBAKER Since H747 veterans of Tennessee Tech have carried their problems to Dr. Gordon Pennebaker whose kindly advice and encouragement has made life more pleasant during some of their trying col- lege experiences. ln addition to these duties, Dr. Pennebaker is Director of the School of Arts and Sciences and Head of the Department of Biology. oggrarian CLARENCE P. SNELGROVE Clarence P. Snelgrove has been head librarian at Tennessee Tech since 1936. He received his l3.L.S. degree from Peabody College. During his years at Tech, Mr. Snelgrove has been unusually successful in his efforts to increase the number of volumes in the college library and to make library materials easily accessible to Tech students and faculty. Librarian Snelgrove, through his generous, prompt service and his willingness to cooperate in every activity on the campus, has won the respect and appreciation of the student body and the faculty.
