ediwzfiwz To you, the members of this year's graduating class who have achieved at last the reward we all seek, we, the students of Tennessee Tech, dedicate the 1948 edition of the FTTECH EAGLE with the hope that it will remind you of the many pleasant friendships and invaluable experiences gained during your stay here at Tech. Not having finished the race which you have so admirably run, We cannot to a full measure appreciate the tireless effort and tenacity of purpose which you have displayed in achieving your goal. Yet, we admire you for your continuous pursuit of that elusive objective of life sometimes called success. There have been numerous obstacles that have come your way. Many of you have had your college careers interrupted to take up arms to defend the very privilege of seeking an education free from political doctrines and military codes. Your college degree is a symbol of a heritage which, by past gener- ations, has been not infrequently abused. Your future heritage is the World. We urge you to take this world and utilize it to the best interest of all mankind. Take the opportunities it affords you and fashion them into steps that lead successfully up the ladder of life.
