This publication well highlights the activities and individuals which hallmark the year at 'IEnnessee State University. In addition. it captures and presents 1986-87 in the context of the University's distinguished 75-year history. A perspective emerges for appreciating the pastw-as the foundation for our present and beyond. As Tennessee State University recognizes its 75th anniversary, we celebrate time-honored traditions and an institutional character unique among sister colleges and universities. The thousands of individuals who over the years have benefited from their association with the University reflect upon the value of their experience. We stand in tribute to the institution which progresses by addressing the higher education needs of the ever-changing society it exists to serve.
