Hale of Chattanooga chosen as principal. 1912-Iune 19, institution iirst opened its doors and admitted 247 students. lElS-Fixst biennial visit of Governor and Members of Tennessee General Assembly. 1915 More than one thousand students enroll in summer session. lSlG-Beginning of student organizations. 1917 Alumni and former students voluntary for services with U. 5.
