A Shakespearean sonnet might have captured it, but we fumble. Assuredly, her beauty brightened the school and pleased our eyes. Her grace of body and spirit moved us to wonder. Her gentle wit surprised us and tickled our funny bones. Her charm and quiet dignity compelled us to instinctive respect, as her gentleness soothed the abrasive edges of the day. But it was her love that mattered most. She was all that we could desire in a teacher. We are grieved that she is gone, but we are enriched because she lived.
