May 28, 1977 New York, New York Dear Mr. Brock, I am retired now for I felt I needed the rest, and have just returned from an extensive trip around the world, Mars, and the Moon. The school board, desirous of determining the success of our '57 grads financed the trip. You would be surprised how far the graduates of '57 have scattered since that day in May. While in New York this week I read in the New Tenino Independent that Doug Kelly, Mayor of Tenino, owns a chain of gas stations. Jack Tanner has made a million dollars by inventing a substitute for heat. Dick Craine has become a famous novelist. He has written such famous books as: Obession of Magnificence and I and the Egg. Mike Shogren became President of All-Bran Inc. He wanted to be certain the supply would never run out. Colleen Keithalm owns United Airlines. She started as a stewardess. She is happily, married to Elmer Balch who has made a fortune as a Justice of the Peace in Bucoda. His speciality was S 2. 50 weddings. Don Schwarz flew the first rocket to the moon. While he was there he met a moon- dweller who resembled Joan Grayson. They fell in love and were married. They now have moved to Mars and are raising 5 little martians. Beverly Monroe was the first woman President of the United States. She has been married seven times and is trying to get Terry Esget as her eighth. None of the others had met the standards for the First Gentleman of the White House. Let's hope Terry can meet them. Jean Martin started dabbling in stock and now owns General Electric. She has never married because of her secret love for Larry Andruss. Larry married Wilma Martin, and they are living on a satelite between here and the moon. Doug Sampson and Gail Glenn have become famous movie stars. They are now appearing in a movie entitled, Those Redheads from Tenino. It is slated to win an Academy Award for the best picture of the year. Margie Wharton and Beverly Cavin are living in Europe where they have taken up nursing. When asked why they went to Europe, they said, We came for a vacation, and have been trying to earn enough money to return home. Fred Greer is now Editor of the New Tenino Independent. He got this job when the Independent found out how good he was in his high school journalism class. Bill Largen and Lilly Granacki were married as soon as school was out. Lillian has made a name for herself by editing annuals for other schools because she did so well on the Tehisco. Bill has come back to teach Agriculture at Tenino, and his classes have raised pigs with the curliest tails in the history of T. H. S. Ruth McPherson is a secretary to Elmer Balch in his office in Bucoda. She was given this honor because she was the first of Elmer's clients. . I have to catch my rocket home. Let me hear from you soon. Sincerely yours, ?5 lVIr. Arnold Miller 13
