SENIOR HISTORY September, l937 was a happy month for a class of brlght eyed youngsters, for lt marked thelr entrance 1nto the seventh grade and started them on a S1X year Journey of both fun and work. Toward the end of the year two new glrls, one from Callfornla and one from Oregon, were added to the golly class When V8C8t1OH came lt found every student looklng forward to a second year at Tenlno High School Several of the old members d1d not come back the next fall, but there were some new ones to take the1r places As Slghth graders they were ready to 'show the ropes' to the new comlng seventh graders Then came thelr glorlous freshmen year and graduatlon 1nto Senlor Hlghl The class was very large th1s year and had to be dlvlded 1n half, but they managed to St1Ck together One of the hlghllghts of the year was thelr successful presentatlon of UThe Adventures of Tom Sawyer Ah Sowrv ore year, upstalrs at last, and able to partlclpate ln all school ac 1t1es Septemh 1941 Gollv, can that bunch of 'practlcally grown up young people 1 those llttle seventh grade 'k1dS of such a short t1me ago? Another very successful play was presented, UThe Haunted Hlgh School The Junlor Prom was the dance of the year and the gym was beautlfully decorated Then, wonder of wonders, there was the fall of 1942 brlnglng the super tltle f HS8R1OTS to the thlrty two 6XC1t6d young men and women, all of whom were especlally actlve thls ClOS1Hg year They went up to Whldby Island for a weekend 1n October. More funll' The Senlor Ball was glven 1H November, the theme belng a barn dance. In Apr1l they presented thelr f1nal dramat1c offerlng, H brlel Blow our Horn Four new members were added to the Senlor Class roll, maklng a total of th1rty SlX who w1ll never forget the nlght of May 28, 1943, when, scared but determlned, thev marched to the platform for thelr graduatlon 9X9TC1S6S and to recelve thelr dlplomas Thus closes the hlstorv of the Class of '45 We are leavlng our tltle to the next vear's Senlors, hoplng they N111 have as much fun whlle they hav lt as vm d1d ALOHA ' 1 . - . . . . .
