TEHISCO plcture appealed of the brlde xx ho seemed more llke a furx than a real human being m her xx h1te and s1lx er xx eddlng dress xyrth 1tS sheer ve1l of lustrous xx ebb1ng YK hen Nlrss Tucker saxx her blushlng face she began to concentrate Who can thrs tall slender br1de be? she kept thlflklllg to herself and lememberrng the blush she knexv It was Clara Tax lor a 1922 Senlor MIQS Tucker nearly screamed Wlth Joy to thlnk Clara had been so fortunate as to get 1nto the Royal famlly How happy Clara must be wlth such a Romance The next plcture shoxy ed the brldal DFOCGQSIOH marchmg down the ma1n alsle of Westmlnster Abbey There xxas the Prrnce the k1ng and queen Prlncess Mary and all the brldesmalds but no brlde Why xx here could she be' Then she came hurrx 1ng doxvn the alsle and caught up xuth the prmce about half xvay doxvn to the altar Mxss Tucker was so amused she laughed rlght out Why that was the very xx ay Clara used to arr1ve at class m the Tenmo school she hadn t changed a b1t The glrls had Ceftalnly spoken the truth when they Sald she would be late for her wed d1ng When the Hlndu natlves saw thelr beloved Prlnce and Pr1n cess they rose up 1n a mass and cheered them so enthuslastlcally that MISS Tucker was glad to escape 1nto the qulet Orlental n1ght carry1ng vx1th her vlslons of the lllustrlous class of 1922 C M T Senlor Class Poem In September 1918 rn the hzgh school of Tenzrro Twenty sezen trrnzrl freshmen mounted up the rfzrrdrng starruay Meeltly entered the assembly tool seats rn thx darlest corner There they stayed tzll Mr Barber took thezr names and resrdenees Talked to them of hzgh school courses- cautzoned them to study deeply Englzsh Algebra and Latzn Hzstory-all the subjects taught rn hrgh school These they studzed urth great ardor thrnlzng of the neat year hopzng They uould be no longer freshmen but a group of merry .sophs In September 1919 tn the same old dark assembly Szxteen sophomores returnzng for the second year of hrgh school T tyt y ' 2 ,' . . TEHISCO wlth her ha1r combed severely back showlng both ears sat lec turlng to a large class of perfect ladles How prlm and qulet the glrls were but no wonder they were prlm and qu1et Wlth such a dlgnlfied pr1nc1pal to model after M1ss Tucker tr1ed to lmaglne what would happen 1f May should revert to her old manners and start 1n on One az1ppa Two azlppa Three azlppa Zam ' but was unable to feature lt She wondered 1f May had been d1sappo1nted ln love or what had caused her to sacrlfice her news paper talents and spend her l1fe 1n th1s ret1red way Perhaps after her strenuous effort 1n gettmg out the ANNUAL she felt as 1f th1s l1fe was all she had strength left for M1ss Tucker felt sure her present work agreed w1th her however for she had lost that thmness that used to worry her 1n olden days I suppose she teaches sohd geometry thought M1ss Tucker for her work 1n that I w1ll never forget I hope she puts as much pep 1n her work as she used to 1n the Basket Ball games Aga1n the p1cture faded A new one showed Tenmo the health1est clty 1n the world M1ss Tucker read Dr Colv1n who strongly bel1eves 1n vacc1nat1on 1noculates one thousand school ch1ldren The plcture showed a tall sl1m graceful blonde golng up the steps MISS Tucker at once recognlzed the wavy blonde ha1r and knew that Dr Colv1n was none other than Rosahnd and that she had regected her numerous su1tors to follow Dr W1Ch man s footsteps The large substantlal school bu1ld1ng contrasted strongly vuth the small shaky one MISS Tucker had taught 1n I suppose thought MISS Tucker that Rose IS glad she took Latln for she can now sn rxte prescrxptlons that only she and Mlke can read As the plcture faded MISS Tucker W1ShPd that she mlght see the other member or th1s xllustrous class of 1922 but haldly ex pected to see her among these promlnent people for she was always so qu1et and shy The only thmg she had ever been lnterested m was a romant1c story Suddenly Hashed a plcture of a royal weddmg The Pr1nce of Wales had at last selected a brmde It was the most magmflcent and fascmatmg weddxng ever screened even more so than Pr1n cess Marys 1n 1922 Flrst was shown a plcture of the pr1nce MISS Tucker was espec1ally lnterested because she had seen h1m How happy and proud hls smlllng face looked' He resembled a young Amerlcan fresh from college As hls plcture faded from the screen and a T tyt . . . , - . . . . n . .
