Class History T was September of the year 1918 when we a group of twenty- sexen t1m1d freshmen entered the Tenmo h1gh school We xxele not accustomed to the h1gh school vxaxs but mth 'Vlr Barber s careful coachmg xxe d1d fa1rly well as begmners After arranglng our courses and after 1n1t1at1on we started the usual h1gh school Splflt IH class meetlngs We chose for our Presldent Harold Morgan VICE Pres1dent Bermce McArthu1 Secretary Treasurer May Mayes Du1 mg our Freshman year we took an act1ve part IH all school affa1rs There were freshman members on the baseball and basket ball teams and m the glee club As for debat1ng vxe proved that Rowena vxas a better herome than Rebecca In the fall we re enteled the Tenmo hlgh school not as fresh men but as a group of Hfteen headstrong sophomores We found ourselves mmus thlrteen members 'unlucky number.. Though some of them dropped out of school some of them merely began to attend school elsewhere These members were Blanche Crowder LUCIHG and Pr1sc1lla Povxell M1ldred Clark Marguer1te Barber Florence Faulknor Agnes Steltham Hllda Covert Slgfld Nyhus James Graham Edward Drake Joe Black and Tommy Churchlll On the other hand we had several new members Sara McM1llan Otha Angell Ax anelle Russell Ted Butler and John Haney Oul P11nc1pal M1 Barber had not returned but h1s place was taken by Mr Cxx 1n Thls tlme xxe knew more about the hlgh school xx ay s and It d1d not take us long to settle down to xx 01k and become m the L1l'1COlI1 Llterary Soclety Thls 3 ear xxe chose as ou1 officers Hmrold Renfl oe Bermce NIcArthu1 and lVIay Mayes At the beglnnlng of the xear xx hcn the Ulalloxxe en entertaln ment xx ts glx en fol the benefit of the Plano Fund the sopho mol es xx cle 1J1OIT'1lH9Hl 111 m 1k1ng It 1 success Thele were sopho moles ln the chorus that sang old fash1oned songs and at least one sophomo1e 111 the plax let that xxas glxen Sometlme about I'I1ld56'11 xxe entertamed the Frosh It xx as a most successful palty but all the h1stor1an can 1emembe1 about lt xx as the muslcal con test and that xxe made lmages out of chexx 1ng gum 9 I 7 7 . . . . , .
