THIS issue of the Tenakin is gratefully dedicated to Mrs. Julia E. Yagood, who was our friend and ad- visor during our Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Years at Tenatly High School. UR country is now at war, a war which we, the Tena- kin Staff of l943, and all other seniors, deeply re- gret. However, we realize this conflict is necessary to re-establish on this earth of ours a lasting peace and jus- tice for all mankind. We, the Class of l943, leave this high school determined to do all in our power to assist our national government in bringing peace on earth, good will towards man. One minor unforseen result of this war has been the curtailment of many activities and services which, in the past, have made the publication of the Tenakin possible. The I943 Staff has made every effort to have this vol- ume complete, but in several instances this has been practically impossible. We hope you will like this book as it is, realizing the difficulties and set-backs we have had to overcome, some of which, at times, seemed almost unsurmountable. -THE STAFF
