Alpha phi alpha-pi rho chapter Alpha Phi Alpha has a long and distin- guished history of in- volvement, achieve- ment and leadership in civil and human rights efforts. Over the years, the frater- nity has espoused many charitable and service oriented proj- ects. The Go to High School-Go to College program initiated in 1929 counsels youth on LeadershiD in the Millennium the importance of a post-secondary edu- cation and the pro- fessions which show promise fo r ad- vancement. This counseling thrust has been augmented by a vigorous schol- arship program that has provided finan- cial support for both undergraduate and graduate members and non-members of the fraternity.
