♦ . - ' The College of Allied Health and Professions was founded in 1966, and Mary Lee Seibert is the current dean of the college. Programs in the College of Allied Health Professions are designed to prepare men and women as qualified health professionals in one of five allied health disciplines, and are trained to give high quality health care to ail citizens. The College of Allied Health Professions prepares individuals to enter the health care system as competent professionals. Graduates are quali- fied to take state and or national examinations leading to certification in their fields. The master ' s degree programs offer certified health professionals the opportunity to extend their basic preparation. The College of Allied Health and Professions gives their students the in depth knowledge and experience in specialty areas and develop education and management skills necessary for leadership roles in their professions. The College of Arts and Sciences was founded in 1884, and Lois S. Cronholm is the current dean of the college. The College of Arts and Sciences undergraduate programs prepare students to enter the world as informed, responsible citizens, as men and women taking consequen- tial choices about the future of their communities, and as leaders m the careers they choose to pursue. Baccalaureate programs are offered in the three main divisions of the college -natural sciences, social sciences, and the humanities. All the programs offer their st udents the opportunity to work with distin- guished faculty and a richly diverse and stimulating student body as they prepare for an active role in a future of change and challenge.
