OWOMtaMctwtHy e WKRictsnm 2ryjnoof T 28-US-USO T 71S-«»-490 hmr po «ry g! TEMPLE S±3i UNI VC RSITY School o« Podtatrtc MwScfcw To the Class of 2018. Before anything else, congratulations on your graduation from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Receiving this award is a great honor and I accept it with much humility. Being a part of your formal education has been extremely rewarding and remains one of the highlights of my career. Although you arc finished with your formal education, know that your foundation of podiatric knowledge will continue to grow as you complete your residencies and embark on professional careers. Be aware that your teachers may come in various forms, including colleagues, other practitioners, and even patients. Share your new found knowledge with the profession by participating in research or mentoring future students and residents. The future of our profession rests upon your shoulders. Your successes are on display this week, and they would not be possible without your commitment to excellence. May your Commencement celebrations be the start of a list of successes for you in both your professional and personal lives, and may you forever remember what is possible in life when you chose to own the power to control your destiny. Remember to always choose kindness, patience, and compassion. Please keep in touch and know that you always have a friend and colleague you can call. Wishing you all the best. Jennifer C. Van, DPM 5
