You have worked hard and sacrificed greatly over the past few years of your life, but now enjoy the accomplishment you have achieved. While the biggest hurdle is over, the Journey is just beginning. The next 3-4 years of your life will be tough, but you have made it this far and can undoubtedly make it through residency with great success. Over the past two years I have watched you develop your clinical skills and hone your ability to present In a professional and confident manner, and now today, I have no doubt are ready to be the future of this profession. If I can give you any advice going forward it would be the following things: 1. Never forget who you are and where you came from. 2. Have compassion, it's not always easy, but there is always someone who has it worse than you. 3.
