 e6e !aA . fSAetian PHILADELPHIA, PA UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS-DALLAS Wow. What an adventure it has been. Looking back, the time has taken forever and yet flown by at the same time. I truly am humbled to be where I am today. The journey got long and challenging multiple times, but thanks to a great support system. I am standing here today. Mom and Dad: Thank you for always pushing me to pursue my dreams. One thing you always told us is to study hard because education is the one thing that nobody can take away from us. Thank you for all of the endless sacrifices you made for me so that I could pursue an education. When things got tough and it was hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel financially, you always pushed through. Thank you for teaching me to hang in there even when the going gets tough Philly Mom and Dad: Thank you so much for watching my little one day in and day out while I was at school. There were many days when I would have to leave before the sun was out and come back home after the sun had set. Thank you for taking the reins while I was at school. My dear siblings: David and Sarah. Hannah, Samuel. David and Suzi. and |osh and Carol: Vail are phenomenal! Thanks for your patience in all of the late birthday cards that were sent because I got so busy. I truly admire each of you. thank you for helping me keep my eye on the bigger picture. Bear -t Joey: Bear, you have been my day-in-and-dav-out anchor. Thank rHi for the unconditional love you have showed me. especially while had to delay multiple birthday celebrations and anniversary dinners due to exams. Joey, you make mama's heart whole. You turned my whole world right side up. I love y'all forever and always and never sometimes Pod IVeps. Y’all know exactly who y'all are...my girls. I love that despite our many different backgrounds we have a bond unbreakable. Y’all have been my source of sanity and entertainment these past 4 years. From developing gray hairs to life events, I love y'all. And finally, THANK YOU JESUS...my life-changer, lifeline, and everything. His strength was made perfect in my weakness over and over and over again, and for that I will forever be a spokesperson. To my future self, as Lee Ann Womack put it best: “I hope you never lose your sense of wonder.. .1 hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean...I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance--.! hope you dance. 21
