And, what an adventure it has been. We are so honored to have served as your yearbook editors these past couple of years. From parties, to nights out on the town, from celebrating milestones, to interviews in Texas, we have become more than just a group of acquaintances. We have become a family. As your yearbook editors and friends, it has been so much fun collecting and piecing together the many pictures that encompass our time at TUSPM. It tells the stories and memories that our hearts will forever remember with a smile. Our challenge to you moving forward: never stop documenting life. Schedules will get busy and life as a resident will get crazy, but never ever stop recording the special people that have helped get you there, and the special times that have made you the person you are today. Never forget where you have come from, and most importantly, face the future with a courageous certainty, knowing that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. We hope you enjoy the last yearbook of our academic careers, as we tried to showcase what an amazing ride it's been. Congratulations class of 2016, we did it! Your graduation is a proud moment for both you and your families. It is also a proud moment for us as we have seen you develop your clinical knowledge and skills over the last few years. Many of you have had to overcome both personal challenges to get to this point 1 congratulate you and I wish you personal and professional success in the future. When you came to TUSPM you joined a profession that is still evolving and maturing. Even over the course of my own professional lifetime there have been dramatic changes. In order to continue to advance the profession, each and every one of you must be personally involved with helping it grow. Certainly the most important way to do that is to make each and every patient encounter a successful one where you deliver the best possible care in a caring and compassionate way. In addition there are other ways that you can contribute to the profession: research, education, and political leadership are just a few of the different ways that together we can advance the profession. For me, this has been a wonderful place to receive my own education and a wonderful place to have the opportunity to teach you. The profession provides outstanding opportunities for each and every one of you that you can seize with hard work and dedication. Again, congratulations on your success and good luck In your future endeavors. 1 hope that you will look back upon the knowledge you gained at TUSPM as the foundation upon which your career was built 8 Oddaciate £)eaa FOR FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION Roderick B. George Plimpton implored them to boycott the commencement ceremony, return to their dorm rooms, and unpack, noting that “There's not much out here. He further wrote that ’Graduation is a terrible event, the opening of an enormous dovecote from which spring thousands of (under] graduates. We don't want you....’ I would not be surprised If some of you harbor similar feelings. After all. there are not enough residencies, the healthcare marketplace is in a state of flu , physician reimbursement is falling (again), the practicality of starting your own practice anytime soon is almost nonexistent, and there is an abundance of your predecessors waiting to take advantage of your cheap labor. Indeed, the real world can be an ugly place and, yes, being thrust Into it is a traumatic experience, one for which you may feel utterly unprepared. DON'T! Don't lose sight of the fact that you are highly trained. Don't lose sight of the fact that your training makes you a valuable commodity. He is the master of his four 4 kids and the best husband in the world. Before coming to Philadelphia he loved the outdoors. He hunted everything but especially enjoyed deer, and elk. He is one of the luckiest married men there is due to his beautiful, smart, loving wife. They started dating each other in the 9th grade and together have made a family that will be envied for an eternity. Although John would say he was the best looking person in high school others would say Kaeli is much better looking . Truth be told, he married up.
