Ul These following fundamental beliefs are expressed as standards of ethical conduct and propriety of podiatrists, individually and collectively with patients, colleagues, members of allied health professions, and the public: To render service to humanity with impartial respect for the dignity of man. To provide a full and complete measure of professional service and attention to patients in the practice of Podiatric Medicine. To unhesitatingly serve consultation in difficult or doubtful circumstances where it appears that the quality of service and therapy to the patientcan be enhanced. To continue the improvement of knowledge and skills for the benefit of patients and professions. To conduct the practice of Podiatry as a credit to the profession. To never accept limitations that might destroy or interfere with the exercise of best judgement and skills or the quality of performance. To regard the confidence and information received from patients with professional care and understanding. To fully offer service and participate in the health programs for the public in keeping with the integrity of the profession. r y podiatrist’s CR D 2009 Achilles

Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine achilles yearbook EDITORS-IN-CHIEF Glenn aufseeser. zachary ritter. Marianne ravert Dear Clinical and Academic Faculty, Staff, Classmates and Friends, It is our genuine pleasure to present you with this 2009 Achilles Yearbook. Countless hours of study and “extracurricular time have been foregone to produce this edition. In that, we hope to have created a book that truthfully captured some of the moments that made this year special to you. We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our advisor, Mr. David Martin, as well as our Cooke Publishing Representative, Lisa Buscaglia, without whom this book would merely be a collection of photos lazily strew n about the floor of our yearbook office. Their efforts, while often overlooked, are truly appreciated. To those classes arriving after us (2010, 2011,2012) we offer this advice...take it all in. Before you stretch an infinite number of possibilities, and, while it is easy to look narrowly toward your next step, relish those already taken. Cultivate friendships, seize new opportunities and learn from past experiences. But, most importantly, be the change you seek. Don't rely on others to carry our profession... lift it up yourself. Finally, to our classmates we say thank you. Thank you for our shared joys and sorrows. Thank you for your encouragement and effort. While our time here has seemingly become a surreal blur in the shadows of our minds, we shall be forever joined by this common experience as friends and colleagues. In the words of Dr. Boyd, “earn- on for podiatry.” CD Thank you all. Marianne, Glenn and Zach
