John F. D'Aprix President Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine JOHN F. D’APRIX rataocM To I he Class of 1996: You have negotiated successfully to its completion, the first leg of your professional journey by completing an unrelentingly challenging course of study experienced by only an exceedingly small percentage of our society. For this, you have my heartfelt congratulations. You also have my respect for having been so strongly motivated that you perserved in the presence of not only a daunting curriculum, but an anxiety-engendering environment of change. Yours Is the first class to feel the full impact of major sea changes in the healthcare sector which undoubtedly will alter irrevocably the course of podiatry as a profession. As it is unlikely that these seas soon will be calm, it is important for you to rely upon the anchor of your own skills and knowledge to secure your competitive position and to seek safe harbor with others in the profession. Finally, you have my best wishes for a healthy and prosperous future life in which the memory of this small College and your brief passage through it will be increasingly appreciated. Sincerely, John R D'Aprix j EIGHTH AT RACE STREET • PHILADELPHIA. PA 19107-2 0 • 215-fe2 5 00 • Fax: 215-029-1929 6

M. Lucinda Strycker, D.P.M. Senior Editor of Achilles 1996 Follow your dream- take one step at a time and don't settle for less, just continue to climb. Follow your dream... if you stumble, don't stop and lose sight of your goal, press on to the top... For only on top can we see the whole view, can we see what we've done and what we can do, can we have the vision to seek something new... Press on... and follow your dream. -Amanda Bradlev 5
