Despite the rigors of the academic progran, you persevered; because of the rigors of the academic program, you have become competent and intelligent practitioners. In the future you will use that Knowledge, and those cKills that you have acquired to build a rewarding and successful life as a healer of other human beings. As with other commencements that you have been throuqh, this one too is but a beginning. Unlike your other commencements, this one marks the beginning of a life-long professional career. Being a professional means making an intense personal commitment to continuing your own growth in the field, and working to advance the field itself. Our profession is a young one, with many challenges and obstacles ahead. Each of us has an important role to play in insuring that the profession continues to thrive.
