It beg3n in the fall of 72. We were 86 anxious new students in a lecture room at the old school, that seated only 50. fast developing claustrophobia. It was hard to believe how a school would accept more students than scats. Dean Giblcy had answers for all our questions. He informed us that our class, due to its size was being shipped over to the old Greek Orthodox Church Over there! Over there! Most of us had already heard rumors about 1st year Anatomy and how tough the ‘old man’ made the course, so I guess they expected us to pray and study at the same time — Greek Style. Dean Giblcy welcomed us to PCPM He broke the good news to us that if your car was parked by a; meter out front, you could get a ticket and if you parked it on the school lot, it would be towed. We had some questions for him; Is this really Society Hill? Is South Street around the corner0 Where do you buy soft pretzels? Arc there any cheap places to live? Dean Giblcy did reassure us that shortly, there would be ample parking at the new school. In fact, whatever the problem was, the new school seemed to be the solution for everything Beware of Greeks bearing gifts. Our first class in the Greek Church came as a surprise to us. First, finding it, then realizing that they did not believe in white light bulbs, heat or air conditioning We had to bring our own flashlights and pocket light-
