Someone forgot to tell Dr. Mordcs that he was not teaching in Belgium His first attempt at organizing our class was a fiasco. After seating us alphabetically, every other seat, he realized that the room was too small. He then scattered the rest of the students around the room, defeating the whole purpose of alphabetical seating. I think he was trying to remember our names, which gave us a clue why he choose neurology. After one year, he knew 3 guys names. Centrclla, Finer and Jerry “Allentown Schofficr His 2 cousins. Ankle and Rigor, also known as Livor, never did show up to teach podiatric clinical neurology We did. however, learn a lot about the eyes. Dr. Mordcs got Podiatry confussed with Optometry. Between our 2nd and 3rd year, we were to enjoy an experience known as summer clinic. W'c had arrived. Patients were calling us Doctor We also had to get our act together: dress pants, ties and short white coats. Turner pleaded with Dr. Rockett that the long white coat was the short one. It only came up to his navel.

The summer was not all nip and clip We had a course in injection therapy. Sounds harmless, only the therapy was on each other. This was not like the Navy where they needed a few good men, — no volunteers Everybody got a chance. If yo tilted the chair back, and thought about how soon graduation was, the experience was not all that bad. Somebody should ask Greenberg why he still limps Dr Gordon made sure that everybody got theirs in the end. To my dying day. At the end of the summer, it was 2 down and 2 to go. and we thought the worst was over. 3rd year was 3 course in endurance. Clinic in the morning, which exhausted you, quick lunch of a soft pretzel and a Coke, then classes. The afternoon class schedule looked dynamite on paper, only one problem. You could never find anybody to teach or attend classes. The 3rd year was so educationally enlightening that I can’t even remember what courses we had
