TEMPLE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF PHARMACY 3701 NORTH BROAD STREET PHILADELPHIA, PA 19107 (215) 707-4990 PHONE (215) 707-3678 FAX We showcase in this book everyday people who have undergone tremendous efforts to becoming the future pharmacists of America, an E treme Makeover, that's what we call it! Thousands apply every year, applicants from across the United States and around the world, to emerge themselves into the challenging world of healthcare, to be the sources of health information, and providing services that will help improve the quality of life of those in our community The Class of 2006 was comprised of a diverse group of students from all over the world. Beautiful faces, talented individuals, all sat side by side and completed a long, yet worthwhile journey together. Many have said The Class of 2006 was one of the smartest group of students Temple's ever known! Well, we have whittled down close to half a decade of fun to only a few pages. Seemed hardly enough to sum up four years of pharmacy school, but we did it with (E treme Makeover. So, cherish these moments. The memories will remain with you a lifetime! j 3 Graduates, Class of 2006 Paris I. Abrams_____________________ Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. Antoine de Saint-Exupery pabrams@temple.edu Oluseyi M Abdul Abebech Abebe Olalekan Abifarin Teresa Mary Anderson_____________________ Denise, Thank you for helping me survive pharmacy school! Thanks for keeping me in the loop, covering for me, and making me laugh everyday. Seaner, Thanks for your love, encouragement, support and attendance at the dances parties; those KY boys needed a veteran to help tap the keg. I chose pharmacy, gave it my best shot and have finished something I never thought I was capable of accomplishing. To my husband, Hugh, who rooted for me since day one, knew I could do it, pushed me harder than anyone ever did, criticized me, loved me, and supported me through it all. Thank you so much for helping me begin a path for which I have such passion. Also, many thanks to my family who have always supported me in all that I've done. And to the Class of 2006, Best of luck and a prosperous future to you all! sonboi@hotmail.com Jennifer K. Beppler Patricia A. Bergmaier Phu V. Duong_________________________ Yeah! Congratulations to me! Oh, and congrats to all of you too. How can one sum up four years of memories, friendship, and pharmacy knowledge into a single paragraph? One really can't, so here's my favorite quote instead: Life is short, so have a beer or two - kick back, relax, and take it one day at a time. Everyone wants to thank their family and friends for helping them get this far - personally, I think instead of thanking them - we should buy them something with our pharmacist's salary. $$$ Wouldn't that be better? pharmerphu@yahoo.com Osinakachi E. Egbukwu Remember: Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going. The most important thing about motivation is goal setting. You should always have a goal. It incorporated all the courses at TUSP and gave students a firm grasp as to what pharmacists should be thinking about at all times when they are practicing in the field. Whether it be in a hospital or retail setting, pharmacists have one duty to serve, that is, to recognize and prevent adverse drug reactions from occurring in patients. A Note from the Editor T his project was a tremendous challenge for my staff and me. When we signed up for the job, we had a vision of producing a great yearbook with only one goal in mind: in hopes that our fellow students will cherish the incredible experiences reveled at pharmacy school; to embrace these experiences and being able to share them one day with their children, grandchildren, or mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers. As weeks became months, deadlines frequented our schedules among all the other responsibilities of school. Nonetheless, with much hard work and dedication, what seemed like mission-impossible became one of my most rewarding endeavors. 1 hope that you have enjoyed this book as much as I have had the joy of working on it. It was truly a pleasure to have cooperated with Jos tens' Bill Straub, as well as members of the Yearbook staff, in particular, Phu Duong, Victor Egbulefu, and Basil Hamed. As we end this chapter of our lives together, a new and exciting one awaits all of us.
