He holds membership in the APhA, Pennsylvania Academy of Science, American Association for Advancement of Science, American Association of University Professors, Rho Chi, Blue Key Honor Fraternity, and American Association of Biology Professors. He has been both Secretary and President of the local branch of the APhA. His home community activities in Spring-field, Pennsylvania include being one of the founders of the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, charter member and Past Commander of the Springfield American Legion post, scout work, member of the Board of Health and treasurer of the Springfield Board of Education. In 1959, he was tendered a banquet at the Warwick Hotel to celebrate forty years of teaching at the School of Pharmacy. Hundreds of his friends and former students from all over the state attended. In 1921. he married Dorothy M. Keller of Harrisburg. The Eby s have one son, Frank Hobart Eby, Jr., who is assistant Professor of marketing at V illanova University. Dr. Eby is the iast member of our present faculty who was associated with the original teaching staff of the School of Pharmacy. After forty-five years of association with our school as student and teacher it is with wishes for many years of good health and happiness that we salute Dr. Eby on his retirement. 1946 9
