YEARBOOK A Few Thoughts From The Editor.... LICE 1 OF 1 FDMttR Jour years of medical school are done. Hard work and good times were the theme and the style was provided by everyone who invested their time, knowledge, and experience to make it happen. The Class of 1992 has completed the trade school and now with all the necessary tools we prepare to learn something about the practice of medicine. This 68th edition of SKULL is a look back at these four years in a single volume. It contains largely the positive experiences. No attempt was made to embody the sacrifice and effort we have all endured, but rather the faces and names of the people that helped bear the burden. The theme of this book is well represented between its covers, hopefully living true to the rich tradition preceding it. The style is in the variety that everyone contributed, especially the photographs that cue so many memories from the time spent here at Temple. Clearly, there is pride here with this experience. In the words of Ansel Adams: A picture is worth what no words can say. What has been said with these photos is well worth reading. The tally of everyone involved with this book numbers in the hundreds, yet most of the gratitude for the effort falls on a handful. First, thanks to the Class of 1992 for the Senior Section pages and to the advertisers for their generous support. This is what makes SKULL possible. John developed the Activities Section from start to finish and did a wonderful job. Steve's photographic ability along with all of the photo contributors brought the book together. The color pages speak for themselves and Cate can certainly be proud of that. A special thanks is due Carolyn, Rebecca, Sue and Jan for coming through in a pinch more than once. Jon, Suresh, and Judy put much effort into production. The expert advice from Stan and Gerry is appreciated more than they will ever know and Cheryl Arthur's typesetting remains second-to-none. All of the faculty and staff who have helped so much are greatly appreciated, especially Ms. Gloria Greenberg and Ms. Judy Russo. Dr. Rosen and her entire staff provided much understanding and patience during the course of this project. Topping this thank you list is Marina Cooney. Her friendship, hard work, and commitment to steering the production of this book were invaluable. There would not have been a yearbook without Marina. Everyone involved in preparing SKULL 1992 has given so much of themselves to this project. It is this dedication that gives Temple University School of Medicine a distinct character and the tradition of medical excellence that remains unrivaled. This project is complete. Please support the tradition that continues. Best of luck in the years to come. $ 99 And Where They Came From 10 M. . Chmielewski '92
