TEMPLE UNIVERSITY TU-556-00 3400 NORTH BROAD STREET PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA 19140 OF THE COMMONWEALTH SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOOL OF MEDICINE Leo M. Henikoff. M.D. Dean Viet President for Medical Affairs To the Class of 1983 Our Class is a special one, at least to me. If you recall, we started at Temple together on the same day in the Fall of 1979. In the interim you have grown immeasurably as a class, as individuals, and as physicians. My growth rate, I am sure, has been slower, but I am told that such occurs with advancing age. Without question this class has distinguished itself in having the best parties of this century! Truly remarkable have been the cohesiveness and the close bonds that have existed in this group of people with such a diversity of backgrounds and interests. Helpful to the school as well has been the strong student leadership provided by the Class of 1983. Helpful to each other have been the support groups that the Class generated. I won't write about the challenges that are ahead. You are aware of them and sense them as well as anyone. I do want to say, however, that it's been fun being one of you, although I understand I am not to receive a diploma on May 26, 1983. Br Leo M. Henikoff, M.O.
