As an undergraduate, he used to run the half-mile on the track team. At Temple, Allen became a brother in Phi Alpha Sigma Medical Fraternity. Hustling and energetic, he is the high-tension type of individual who gets things done. We ma add. however, that the least successful of all his enterprises was his abortive attempt to raise a mustache! Prichard back in his freshman year in order to distinguish him from Blackie of the same name. Although at the greatest disadvantage (alphabetically) for oral quizzes, when called upon he always acquitted himself valiantly. Allen was born in Holyoke. Massachusetts. He remained in New England for his pre-medical work, obtaining an A.B. in chemistry and zoology at Dartmouth. At Hanover he was a member of Zeta Psi. His hobby is sailing, and during the summer months he max be found on a yawl in Long Island Sound. At college he was a member of the Chemistry Society and was active in track. He was graduated with an A.B. in chemistry after having been on the dean's list for several years. He spends much of his vacation-time in New York, where, though neither a native nor a resident, he is able to get rid of his year-long New York-sick ness. Frank’s hobbies include astronomy, classical mythology, foreign languages and the study of Dante. He is class editor of the SKULL. Internal medicine is his special interest. 20 Sr. Joseph’s Hospital.
