Lawrenceville. Georgia Georgia Institute of Technology. B.S I want to thank everyone who got me through dental school. Without constant support from my friends and family it would not have been possible. I'll always remember Dana calculating my histology grade while I was crying to assure me I didn't fail but may have actually passed by 2 points. Cram sessions in our huge carpool. The A row keeping me sane and making me laugh when the sanity was impossible to attain. My first car would like to say thank you to everyone who ever squeezed into it. My second car would like to say thank you to anyone who had to endure me learning to drive stick. My third car is not giving out thank yous because it plans on staying around awhile. Boris gives a big MEOW. Thank you Justin for being there for me through it all and somehow coming out with only an ulcer and slight heart problem. Mom and dad I love you. Bradley Alvarez, D.M.D Fort Lee. New Jersey Rutgers University. B.S. First off I'd like to thank my mother because I never would have made it this far without her guidance and continued support throughout the years. Dental School not only has trained me to be a dentist but I've learned the importance of our profession in people's lives. 1 also learned the hard way that no man is an island because without a good friend like Mimi. getting through this rigorous program would’ve been impossible. To all my other friends and acquaintances, it was a real fun ride.... Dana, our misadventures were always a treat, Jane and Christine, Tiki Bob's was always out of control and finally to my boys Cori and David, although our friendship may not always be free of drama, I still love you guys and will miss you when I go up to NYC. 12 Dmitriy G. Aminov, D.M.D San Diego. California San Diego State University Thanks so much to my instructors, faculty members, and colleagues for leading me through this rigorous and challenging school environment. 1 was truly inspired by the energy and dedication to the profession that you brought upon us. Sally, on the third day of school to having my second daughter, Adrianne. in the middle of midterms our second year; I have been repeatedly reminded that there is much more to life than dentistry. I especially want to thank Michelle for sharing the load of dental school and carrying me when 1 couldn't do it all myself. It has been nearly lour years since that fateful day when I first trod the streets of North Philadelphia. Yes. four years since that day when I knew that, although I could go anywhere. I would choose Temple. I don't know whether it was the whirlwind of garbage that was swirling beside me on the sidewalk, or if it was the nice toothless man who was kind enough to come up to me, a perfect stranger, and ask me for a nickel. Whatever it was, that day 1 knew that lor the next four years. Broad and Allegheny was where 1 wanted to be! Okay, four years ago I was an idiot! You know what they say; Hindsight is 20 20. But. despite my previous lack of foresight four years ago. things at Temple haven't been all bad. Since I've been here I've seen some new places. Sarah Wentzel, D.M.D. Lititz, Pennsylvania The College of William and Mary Clearly this small space cannot sum up everything I have learned since entering Temple Dental. The first week of freshman year 1 remember thinking, how did I end up here? After some of the best and worst four years of my life I am still thinking the same thing. How did I get through it. accomplish everything from biochem. micro, Boards, clinic, and no-shows? Thanks to two incredible people, my parents, I got through it. Theyve seen my tears my first few weeks of clinic, and my excitement after delivering my first few crowns. I wouldn’t be here on this page without them. Thank you Mom and Dad. Of course there are others who kept my sanity during school, my girls: I'll miss our weekly dinners and lunch time gossip! My roommates, including my sister, and all my other friends and family, you have no idea how important every time you said, ’you’re going to be an amazing dentist, you'll get through it,' meant to me. And finally, best of luck to all my classmates in the real world . 109 Robert Wilcox, D.M.D Crawford, Texas Yale University, B.S. Keep in touch and Congrats! The years at Temple were both fun and depressing, but many memories. Lew is town, Pennsy I vania University of Utah. B.S. Zack S. Yoder, D.M.D. Catherine Young, D.M.D Philadelphia. Pennsylvania Temple University, B.S. The time 1 spent at Temple Dental has been a time of growth and learning, not only me. but also for my daughter. Harley. When she was learning her ABCs, 1 was learning how to do wax-ups of teeth. When she lost her first tooth, I was learning how to extract teeth in oral surgery. In my final year at Temple Dental. Harley is starting 1st grade! As a single mother in dental school, life had been full of challenges. I had to allocate time for studying, clinical work, and my daughter. When I needed help, my brother (Tim), mom. dad, and step-father were integral in providing care for Harley. Each morning. Tim would get my venti quad-shot Americano to keep me well-caffcinatcd for school. Evenings had my mom cooking the best Chinese food made on the cast coast. Harley and Tyler added levity to stressful days: Loki the dog provided further stress-relief by taking me running. My success in obtaining a degree in dentistry is greatly attributed to the support of my family and finding love (please refer to Aaron Polecks page). 1 would like to express my love and gratitude to my family, and I dedicate my page to them. Sheyda Zahiri, D.M.D Scottsdale. Arizona Bachelor of Science My journey to and through dental school has been one that I could not have achieved without the love and support of my family and friends. I am most thankful of all the sacrifices my mom and dad have made to ensure that I follow my dream of becoming a dentist. 1 would also like to thank my brothers and sister-in-law for supporting me in all of my endeavors up to now. I hope to one day have the opportunity to fully show my gratitude for everything. My time at Temple has also allowed me to have the pleasure of meeting many amazing people who have inspired me to be a better person. In addition I have been lucky enough to make lifelong friendships with many of them. I will always treasure all the memories that 1 have from dental school and I look forward with anticipation to all the wonderful experiences that await me. Land A. Zawatski, D.M.D Mechanicsburg. Use your skills, knowledge and personality to make the world a better place for all of us. We love you dearly. Dad, Mom and Derek Meha... a perfect daughter, a caring sister to two brothers and a best friend to a sister. We couldn't ask for more of a daughter and a sister. She's always been overly generous and has always put smiles on faces of those she comes in contact with. It is no surprise that she wanted to pursue higher education in dentistry to help people smile a more confident smile. We are all very proud of her. She's always strived to be better even though in our eyes she is already perfect. Instead of doing mediocre work on her patients and getting a lot of points, she would take on the most challenging cases to learn as much as she could that would prepare her to be a better dentist. Going to Dental School is the toughest challenge that she has faced thus far in her life...living across the coast from her family; spending sleepless nights studying for her classes, and even though she had already fulfilled her requirements, she would still do rotations in clinic and take on more cases because she really wanted to learn all that she could and practice as much as possible so that she can be the perfect dentist. Meha, you are the new definition of perfect. You have worked very hard to be where you are now. We love you and are very proud of you. Mummi, Pappa, Hitesh, Vihar, Swati and Amita 176 I)r. Curry Leavitt, We are so proud of the countless hours you spent reading, studying, testing, cleaning, drilling, and filling.
