Hajira Amjad, D.M.D AIontgomeryvi 1 le, Pennsylvania —— Bryn Mawr College 1 can still remember nervously standing on stage introducing myself to the Claw of 2005 four years ago on orientation, not knowing what to expect of the years that lay ahead of me. And while it's been a long four years... they were long four years that passed in the blink of an eve From our first day of having to carve a tooth out of wax. to the endless practical . to the late nights in gross lab, to first giving each other injec tions. to our first time working on patients, and finally to frantically trying to finish up requirements to graduate., it's been quite a journey. Throughout all this, my parents have provided me with an entiles supply of love, support, motivation, and encouraging words whenever 1 faced any difficulties 1 will never be able ro thank them enough for everything they have done for me nor just in these past four sears but in the past 25 years of my life Mommy., rhank sou so much for the lunches in the morning, for the coffee ready to go at 1 tun out of the house in the morning, for your patience when I may have snapped at you when I was stressed out and most of all for you doing everything sou possibly could to nuke our lives easier. Daddy... it's always been great being able to get help from you on my projects and lab work, advice about clinic, and thanks for the job offer. To my younger bro. Ham mad... only two mote years to go before you join the family practice! Although the only times you call me ate when you need me to do your scribes for you... I still love you and miss having you around making fun of me. To my younger sis. Halima ... who knows how many more years of school you have ahead of you. 1 have always been and always will be proud of everything you have accomplished and I know that you arc capable of achieving so much more. I can't forget my other family... khala. chachoo, haroon, hassan, ami bcebs... I love you guys as dearly as I love mv family and you will always be big part of who lam To two of my best friends. Gabby and Ruth, we finally made it... we've made it through with laughter and tears but we made if through supporting each other and with so many-great memories. There arc so many other friend , instructors, and staff who have made the last four year bearable, and while I can't thank them individually, just know that 1 will always be grateful for that. 10 •• Temple University School of Dentistry
