The Class of 1997 is memorable for many reasons—and yes, I actually prefer activists, rather than docile, passive students—but I will especially remember you for your outstanding turnout at the University-wide Commencement. Commencement is more than fun, however, as it marks your step forward into the ranks of your chosen profession. I trust you will always perform at the highest levels of knowledge, skill and ethics, delivering your services with understanding, compassion and confidence.
