The History of Temple Dental 1991 In 1897, the school moved to 18th Buttonwood Streets. The dental college at that location, formally became Temple University School of Dentistry in 1907. In 1943, Temple Dental School moved to 3223 North Broad Street, right next door to the new clinical facility which officially opened to the public in January, 1991. The new clinical facility contains over 80,000 square feet of clinical space, (compared to 36,000 in the old school), and cost over 41 million dollars to construct. 11
