THOUGHTS OF A FRESHMAN ... Well, I made it. but do I really want to be here? Will I like being a Dentist? ... Here he comes to put another grade on my lab blotter ... Will I make it? What if I don't or if I can’t? ... OK practical time! You have 45 seconds between stations, so move at the sound of the buzzer ... I can’t believe that he's passing out a third wax-up model when I haven’t even finished the first one yet! ... Oh, please, don’t let the Saint ask me a question or call me up to the blackboard ... You! UP TO THE BOARD! ... Can we go home to study biochem now. Dr. Rosett ... No way man! ... So this is how it was done back in WWII ... Crowding into the histo practical . .. Where do they want me to go? ... Which frat is best for me ... Do I need that protocol?? What is protocol anyway ... Carving up ivory soap, what hands! ... Perio tapes are almost as bad as Biochem ... I hope Larry Furst doesn’t verbalize too much this week ... The Saint promises not to cover any new material on religious holidays ... Must wear a tie ... Drawing the radiographs from a projector and watching them melt ... Needing something at 9:30 am in preclinic that was 20 miles away in the home box” ... Crowding into Histo lab for test results ... Going to Joe’s or in the alley after McCrae’s tests ... Asking Hausberger a simple question and having him do the entire day's disection ... What is a class II cavity? . .. Ask the Sophomores ... My God! I don’t know a thing about Dentistry!.
