PRESIDENT: Joe Harris SECRETARY: DeDe Gower PIC. and ANNC. CHAIRMAN: Shelly Douglass CAP and GOWN CHAIRMAN. Tonya Monroe STUDENT COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVES: Chad Mullens 9 SENIOR ,UV j i i MEMORIES CLASS OF ’88 This is a poem I'm about to relate About the graduating seniors of '88. To make matters better instead of worse, I fully intend to rhyme each verse. 1 certainly expect you to be able to see That all of the rhymes go from A to Z. With Damian Arzola these creative lines do start. He loves to aggravate and to study his art. Now David Arzola is another case. He tries to conceal his intelligence by setting his own pace. Shelly Douglass is next in line. She makes A’s and appears to travel to Walters much of the time. Let’s not forget David Dunagan. a very quiet fellow Whose good-natured qualities do not show up on the football field as mellow. Is I-don’t-understand” a familiar phrase to you? It must be swallow-your-chew — Fred Gonzales — that’s who! Next there is Danelle Louise or DeDe to us. She knows about football queen, the annual, basketball, and much other stuff. Jeffrey Graham often shows up in his boots Footballing, agging, munching, mumbling, and cutting are his long suits. Joe Harris comes next, a usually quiet young man Who is the basketball king of the 1988 clan. From king to president — David Haynes presiding. He will next year at Cameron be residing. The first M is Carol Marlin who has two jobs she must mix. She puts up with Drew and Lauren and works at the drug store until six. The next M is Angie Mitchell — size one Who is smart, witty, and industrious — but sometimes to school does not come. Tonya, the middle M is someone all of us know In association with giggles, imperiousness, banter, Randy, Randi, and Monroe. Another M is Charlie Morris, who can vanish out of sight. He drives (or flies) a Trans-Am and will soon be a Kansasite. The last M uses Chad Mullens as a border. He likes flowers, baseball, pickups, girls, and horses — not necessarily in that order. Joe Neely adjoins the M’s and the letters O S U. He is known for his laugh, his peskiness, and his acting, too. Leanne Nelms can often be seen driving her light brown Camaro, But she does her schoolwork as quickly and neatly as an arrow. Next is David Roberts, a very polite young person. However, sometimes I think he would like to leave English class cursing. Paula Rumbaugh is hardly ever heard but near the window can be seen. She is the 1988 basketball queen. Stacie Schuler is another basketball fan. But she also likes track, singing, talking, and having a tan. Victor Tahchawwickah is introduced now. He likes playing basketball, dancing Indian style, and attending a pow wow. Quiet-until-her-senior-year Debora Trimble can often be found practicing her clarinet, tending the cattle, and becoming Cameron bound. Next is Shane White — a sports enthusiast. He will soon be wearing the O S U crest. Lea Winters uses western clothes and boots as her sign. She knows about basketball, English, and how to tell Fred to get in line. William Wofford is the last of the class He knows about VO-Tech, English, and how to catch a bass. As you can guess this is the end of the lot. These words are all that I’ve got. 1 hope I have imparted to you What each senior has been through But I do not want you to be sad. Just say goodbye until bell-bottoms again become a fad. Temple was one of the eight cities and towns the Governor visited during his tour of the state. Governor Bellmon stressed the importance of continuing our education after high school and also answered questions from students. Bethany Abbe, a bit shy at first, presented the Governor with a poster the fifth graders had made. Mr. Bellmon posed for pictures and greeted students before leaving town.
