“A PORTRAIT” Yesterday has gone and passed, leaving behind memories which last — We look back on yesteryear and smile; then we laugh or maybe cry a while. Those days are gone, but memories remain locked up in our hearts or a picture frame. Faded photographs of the homecoming queen, wrinkled clippings about the winning team. We held fast to our hopes, joys, and dreams. Candid snapshots of sweethearts and friends, How we wondered, “Will the homework end?” It seemed so short, the time spent together, But our memories and photographs will last forever. Alow towards the future we move on. And in our minds plays a familiar song: Yesterday has gone and passed, leaving behind “A Portrait, ” to last...
