School began; We looked ahead to an endless time of bells that never rang to free Restless spirits; or we talked and laughed in eager anticipation of Exciting classes, or wins and losses in games of season, of holidays. And yet again the bell rang for a new beginning. Only yesterday — A semester was gone — still — so much to do. Only yesterday — Spring break and tests and baseball and concerts and banquets. Only — But it’s today! The bell rings to free our spirits forever from this special year. Now — Only memories of friends, teammates, teachers, classes, romance, conflict, hurts, and joy!
