DEDICATION As we look back, we see Temple High School filled with the laughter and spirit of its students. When we no longer pass through its halls or sit in its classrooms, the mem- ories of past experiences will be unforgettable - - - - the fears and thrills of our first appearances on stage in class plays and assem- blies; the intense concentration of our last-minute reviewsbefore six week tests; the acrid, pungent smells of chemistry lab experiments wafted through the halls; the sounds of cheering borne on the heat waves from pep assemblies held in the sunlit stadium, fol- lowed later by the shrill sounds denoting a football victory in the crisp air of an autumn evening; - - the increased pairing-off of new twosomes heralding the coming of Spring; the weird-looking characters that abounded on Sadie Hawkins Day; the pretty girls and hand- some boys at the Junior-Senior Prom; the ever-present mixture of gladness and sadness evoked by fast moving end-of-school activities. As class after class have graduated, marks, pictures, and signs have remained, re- minding us of those who once attended and were proud to belong to its friendly and home- like surroundings. Because of our fond feeling for a school which has afforded us educational achieve- ments, fun, and happiness, we—the Staff of '63—dedicate the 1963 edition of the TIGER to TEMPLE HIGH SCHOOL. Our curriculum, as well as our physical plant, will have a direct influence on the success or failure of our graduates. To increase their chances of success upon assuming their role as a contri- buting member of our society, our school is continually striving for improve- ment in all areas of learning. Through these improvements and changes, we are working for the future, not only of our students, but of our school, our com- munity, and our nation.
