pf'- .6 sf' Q-.cf Mrs. .ff f 'sax Sanford - Dean of Women PM 3' '53 ,... L.. 'T Two heads are better than one. Mr- Romans .. Dean of Men 'U-s,........-.a ,-J X .! ff We certainly are privileged to have as our deans a man and a woman who have devoted their time and energy to Temple Heights and its students. Even though discipline is not always the most pleasant experience, it is nice to know that we will be treated fairly. A dean is more than a disciplinarian - he is also a counselor. We should be thankful for the discipline as well as the counselling provided by the deans. Because of them our lives are just a little better.

4 FROM THE PRINCIPAL i l yy! 5 1 I' Q , I so et- -5 Q .. Running the good race. Mrs. Ruth H. Royer Congratulations to all of you for finishing what you started! You did not quit. You pressed toward the mark. You ran the race well and now you, the seniors, are being graduated and the rest of you are advancing in your educational life to a higher grade. This is an accomplishment to finish what you started! The Bible says endings are greater than beginnings. I hope this is true in your life today. Some of you started out the school year not wanting to come here, but at least you were willing to obey and do what your parents asked. That in itself is pleasing to God. And, during the year, God's Word has broken many of your hearts and God has revealed to you what is right and true and good in life. You know, too-often, we do not recognize good enough. We recognize musical ability, academic excellence, artistic talent and athletic endeavor, but there is a lack of recognizing the student who is in the right place at the right time making the right choices. I want to tell you that I am proud of all of you. You are very special to your parents, to your teachers, to the school staff, to Dr. Schaffer, to Dr. Thacker, to me, and most of all, to God. l know He is pleased you have done the right things this year. And I encourage each one of you, whether graduating or returning next year, to continue thou in the things thou hast been taught. Your bodies, minds and souls have been given a taste of what is right and good in God's eyes. I pray you will never forget the Lord's teachings and always apply them in every aspect of life. This is what your teachers have strived to teach you. That is their gift to you. Now, you are to contribute to the spiritual life of another and present it to God as a sacrifice. And most important, whatever good you do, always attribute that righteousness and goodness in your life to God. Give Him the credit for what He deserves. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, Il Cor. 3:5. It is not what we do for God that counts, but what we let Him do through us. We are not to live to ourselves. Therefore, each one of us must be forever concerned about the impression he makes on the lives of all whom he meets. May that impression be Christ-like! Love in Christ, Ruth Royer faffaff 5 l
