QQ x,E , Pep Commission xi, f'X i NN Ni The girls play an exciting game of basketball during their gym period. Miss Grayson Mr. Swanson Miss Dunn Restricted PE. B.P.E., spans G-P-5 G.P.E., G.A.A. The Physical Education classes provide a refreshing hour of change for students from the solid courses. The activities offered for boys include swimming, basketball, football, gymnastics, baseball, and track. For girls the activities include basketball, baseball, volleyball, swimming, modern dance, tennis, and Pep-Commission. During one quarter of the year, male and female students sign up for two of the many sports offered during co-educational gym. Throughout the year, good sportsmanship is stressed. These ac- tivities are also learning experi- ences, teaching the students the skills and rules of various sports. Rolf Treu does a freestyle dive.

FINE ARTS UNCOVER TALENT Foreign languages, art, and music all contribute to the formation of a well-rounded and cultured person. French, German, and Spanish are the foreign languages offered at Temple City High School Along with the language fundamentals, the history, custom ,W Q' and culture ofthe people are taught. 48' Q Art, especially, uncovers ability. Students learn F many skills through the aid of Miss Layne. 0 0 The A Cappella Choir, Concert Choir, Madrigals, and the orchestra always give a fine performance for the Christmas holidays. The band is also present at games and pep assemblies. lt also presents several performances during the school year and competes in numerous parades. Miss Layne demonstrates painting techniques to Art students
