Also, courses in literature are begun, preparing the student for further exploration in this field. ln .lunior and Senior English, emphasis is placed on literature, composition, and expres- sion, rather than on grammar, although this study is broadened too. In Basic English, fundamentals of grammar are reviewed. Speech is a course which develops public speaking ability. The Journalism class puts out the school newspaper, while the Yearbook class produces the Templar.
