ENGLISH PRODUCES Mr. Skeeters I Department Chairman Mr. Wilson English 5,6 Mrs. Ackerman Technical English English 7-8 Journalism l-4 Yearbook, Sports 'ham Q Four, years of English are required for all students at Temple City High School. ln Freshman and Sophomore English, grammar is reviewed in preparation for com- position. Also, courses in literature are begun, preparing the student for further exploration in this field. ln .lunior and Senior English, emphasis is placed on literature, composition, and expres- sion, rather than on grammar, although this study is broadened too. In Basic English, fundamentals of grammar are reviewed. Speech is a course which develops public speaking ability. The Journalism class puts out the school newspaper, while the Yearbook class produces the Templar.
